What happens if I need to see a doctor out of business hours?
We have an arrangement with a locum service, ‘Home Doctor Service" who can be contacted by phone when we are closed. Their number is 137425 and this number is also incorporated in our answering machine message should you ring outside of business hours. Ths service is available from 4pm weekdays, 10am saturdays and all day Sundays and Public holidays. This service is bulk billed.

I’ve left a message for my GP—when will they contact me?
We take a lot of messages for our GPs throughout the day and the general rule is that they will attend to and reply at their earliest convenience.

I have chest pains or suspect that I may have had a stroke—what should I do?
If you are experiencing chest pains, you should go straight to emergency at your nearest hospital as they are equipped with the expertise to diagnose and treat you.

Why do I have to see my GP for repeat prescriptions, referrals and for forms to be filled in?
We are committed to patient care and we do not provide prescriptions or referrals without seeing you in a consultation. Any prescription medication needs to be monitored and we insist on this policy for your protection and wellbeing.

When you make an appointment just to obtain a repeat script, the doctor will bulk-bill the visit. If you request a repeat script and don't see the doctor, you will be charged a $15 script fee.

If you have a form that needs to be filled in i.e Centrelink we need you to make a time to come and see the doctor- these forms require the doctor checking your medical history to fill them out correctly and takes time for which the doctor should be paid rather than doing so in their own time. It also ensures that you are happy with the information being filled in and gives you a chance to discuss it.

We see patients by appointment only- call us on 8231 4026 and our reception team will arrange a suitable time with an available doctor.
